Rhoose Village
The photographs in this gallery generally relate to the older part of Rhoose village. This encompasses Rhoose Road, Station Road and Torbay Terrace. The dates (where shown) on the pictures are approximate. We usually have some idea of dates from comparisons with known features such as build dates of certain building or structures.
Most of the buildings in Rhoose Road date from the 18th and 19th century. Torbay Terrace was built from 1908 with Ferndale Terrace being built in 1906. The terraces in Station Rd were built around 1913 onwards. The railway station houses were constructed in the late 1920s and local authority housing in the Station Rd/Stewart Rd area being built after the Second World War.
